Friendspiration #2

Deirdre is my house-mate of about 6 and a half months. Although I didn't really know her when my husband and I moved in with her and her husband, we have become really good friends. She's beautiful inside and out, and I am inspired by her all the time. She's like family to me now, and I miss her when she's not home.

Photo I took with a poor camera, but finally found a use for.

Friendspiration #1

My husband is my very best friend. I will never love anyone more. He inspires me daily. He's in law school, kicking butt. He works and freely does things for others. He has big goals for his future that I have no doubt he will reach. He's the most determined and hardest worker I know, and he's still just as sweet and funny and handsome as can be! <3

We have 7 days until our 3rd anniversary, and I look forward to our rare time we'll get to spend away from home together. He's going to make one of my latest dreams come true by taking me horse-back riding! We are going to stay in a bed & breakfast, too! :)

Hello Out There!

I got my daily dose of inspiration from the garden-inspired Ruche look book. Check it out, I think it's  So Lovely! This picture was one of my favorites <3

BTW, this is my 50th post! :o)

I haven't figured out really if anyone looks at this blog... I love doing it simply for my personal satisfaction. Finding beautiful things and forgetting about the ugly is medicine for my soul. Hi Brent, my darling husband! (I know you will read this : x)

However, it is also very gratifying to see other readers (like Daniel two days ago). So, leave some love when you stop by.

Selflessness

I read that sometimes the best way to improve our self-esteem is to forget about ourselves for awhile. Service fills us with that light that radiates from within.

Short-term projects: helping clean up our neighborhood and working in the community garden

(This is was our garden last fall, in its infant stage.)

Long-term project: perhaps developing a week-long summer camp for English learners towards my master's service hours requirements (depending on whether or not I can get a time extension and all the approvals, etc. to make it happen)

I added pages from a French book for leaves. My piece is blossoming just in time with the season.

From the mouth of Dale Carnegie

Carnegie was a smart man.

“It isn’t what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about... If we think happy thoughts, we will be happy. If we think miserable thoughts, we will be miserable."

Paper Cranes

she'slostcontrol via Beauty In Everything

I love the sun rays and the paper crane. The crane is the symbol for long life, prosperity, and good health. Perhaps I should take up Origami.

Operation Beautiful

I found some notes in the restroom on campus that inspired me. Check out Operation Beautiful. I'm in need of a lot of positive self-talk!
